Following recently gained projects, CloudFerro, a provider of cutting-edge cloud computing services, has chosen to rent additional space for its servers in a new Netia’s data centre in Jawczyce, near Warsaw, Poland. The company plans to install over one hundred data storage and computing racks at the new facility.

The company manages a growing number of ambitious cloud computing projects related to storage and processing of satellite data under the European Copernicus Programme. Among CloudFerro’s clients there are many leading institutions of satellite sector such as the European Space Agency, ECMWF or EUMETSAT.

Seeking the new location for its servers CloudFerro considered such criteria as safety and the distance from its headquarters in Warsaw. What is important, the facility has just been certified in accordance with the EN 50600 European standard in scope of construction and operation, which so far has been achieved by only four data centres in Poland. Another important factor considered in the decision making process was the environmental aspect. The Mind Data Centre meets the company’s requirements as the facility is powered by 100 percent green energy and in equipped in environmentally friendly UPS solutions.

The Netia Mind Data Center is the seventh’s facility where CloudFerro has located its public and hybrid cloud infrastructure elements. The company already uses data centres in 3 locations in Poland (Warsaw area), 3 in Germany, and 1 in Great Britain.
