Software Development Manager
Our Software Development department employs 70 developers, testers, analysts and DevOps engineers, who are spread across several product teams. We develop advanced distributed systems aimed at providing services for satellite data processing. We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead two development teams, developing a billing system and a module for authorisation, authentication and management of user roles for the CloudFerro platform.
What will be your tasks?
- Leading two development teams: a team developing a billing system and Identity Access Management, working in an agile methodology;
- taking an Architect role in projects implemented by your team, with active participation in design and implementation of solutions
- monitoring and evaluating the compliance of projects with accepted technological standards;
- supervising the software development process;
- analyse and implement tools to support the efficiency and quality of development team's work
- ensure effective collaboration between teams and internal/external stakeholders;
- supporting the Product Manager with sprint planning and project/product prioritisation;
- manage risks and resolve issues that may arise during projects;
- implementing and promoting best practices in coding, testing and CI/CD process.
- improving processes and tools in line with Agile principles;
- implementing improvements in communication, project planning and execution;
- developing teams.
We are expecting from you:
- min. 5 years' experience in software development, including positions such as Senior Developer, Technical Lead or Architect;
- experience in managing technical teams and leading projects with complex architectures;
- practical knowledge of technologies: Python, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes;
- experience working with microservices based systems and cloud solutions;
- knowledge of CI/CD tools and best practices in the area of automation and process management;
- excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills;
- ability to build commitment and effective team collaboration;
- very good knowledge of the English language.
An additional advantage will be:
- experience in working with cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure);
- certification in project management / agile methodologies (e.g. PMP, Agile Coach, Certified Scrum Master);
- previous experience working in DevOps environments;
- experience in billing system development.
