Due to our dynamic development, we are seeking talented individuals to join our team as a:
Python Engineer
The role
You’ll develop and take ownership of managed services on our cloud platform, such as Database as a Service (DBaaS), Registry as a Service (RaaS) and MLOps services. Your work will span Kubernetes integration, APIs, documentation and the day-to-day evolution of the services. You’ll help shape how customers build and run applications on the platform as part of a growing team with plenty of room to develop.
What will be your tasks?
- Develop components that power our PaaS services.
- Design solutions for multi-tenant environments and large-scale systems.
- Work with the Product Manager to turn business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept for new ideas.
- Improve existing code and implement new components.
- Make technical decisions with security, scalability, reliability and maintainability in mind.
- Maintain code quality through reviews, automated tests, refactoring and sound engineering practices.
- Investigate complex issues across PaaS services, shared services and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams.
- Create and maintain documentation and technical standards.
We expect from you:
- Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with at least one framework, such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.
- Experience designing REST APIs, including CRUD operations, error handling, data validation and versioning.
- Experience building data persistence layers with PostgreSQL and Redis, including data modelling and migrations.
- Enough Kubernetes experience to deploy, configure and troubleshoot your own service independently.
- Confidence using AI development tools, such as Claude Code or Copilot, as part of your everyday engineering workflow.
An additional advantage will be:
- Experience with Go.
- Familiarity with Linux and cloud environments.
- Experience building distributed solutions for multi-tenant or large-scale systems.
- Experience containerising applications with Docker and building CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of observability practices, including structured logging, metrics and distributed tracing.
- Full-stack engineering experience.
