CloudFerro, a Polish provider of sovereign cloud computing services, specializing in the processing of Earth observation data and solutions for the European space, climate and science sectors, has secured financing of up to EUR 75 million from from a club of lenders consisting of mBank and Santander Bank Polska.

The funds obtained will be allocated to the company’s further development, in particular the expansion of infrastructure, scaling up operations across Europe, and investments in research and development. The financing will enable CloudFerro to more efficiently deliver large-scale projects for existing and new institutional and commercial clients. It will also support the expansion of existing infrastructure, the development of technological competencies, including artificial intelligence-based services, and the introduction of new services such as managed Kubernetes and MLOps.

CloudFerro also plans to further develop its offering in the area of infrastructure critical to the European data and space technology ecosystem. The company delivers projects of strategic importance to Europe, supporting the development of digital autonomy, data security, and the creation of independent capabilities for processing large volumes of data in cloud environments. Thanks to the financing, CloudFerro gains greater flexibility in rapidly scaling infrastructure resources and further increasing operational capacity. For clients, this means additional reinforcement of cooperation stability with a partner equipped with the capital and investment capabilities necessary to deliver large-scale, long-term projects.

Building a sovereign European cloud is not only a technological undertaking, but also a key element of Europe’s strategic digital autonomy. The secured financing is a clear vote of confidence in our long-term development vision from renowned financial institutions. Through this cooperation, we will be able to accelerate infrastructure development, intensify investments in research and development, and deliver large projects of strategic importance, enabling secure processing and analysis of data critical to Europe,” said Dr. Maciej Krzyżanowski, CEO of CloudFerro.

The secured financing confirms that CloudFerro is perceived by leading financial institutions as a reliable partner and an attractive borrower, with a clear growth strategy and a predictable business model. The consortium financing structure provides us with flexibility in executing our investment plans and further scaling our operations in Europe. We thank mBank and Santander Bank Polska for their trust and professional execution of the transaction,” added Karol Bach, CFO of CloudFerro.

CloudFerro is one of the most dynamic Polish technology companies, which—amid global geopolitical changes—plays an increasingly important role in sovereign cloud infrastructure and advanced data processing. At mBank, we are pleased to support the growth of such companies, recognizing their competencies and their ability to deliver projects of strategic importance to the European technology ecosystem.

This transaction aligns perfectly with mBank’s new strategy, under which—within our growth stream—we focus on financing technological transformation and initiatives strengthening infrastructure resilience. We believe this financing will be the first step in further supporting CloudFerro’s expansion in Europe,” said Tomasz Niewola, Director of the Structured and Mezzanine Financing Department at mBank.

Poland’s security largely depends on our digital capabilities. Thanks to CloudFerro’s successes, our country can further strengthen its independence in this area. The company is becoming a European leader in building infrastructure for space programmes and represents one of our most interesting financings at the intersection of space and data. Financing highly innovative companies such as CloudFerro naturally aligns with our bank’s development strategy, based on supporting advanced technologies and long-term growth,” said Bartosz Ziółek, Head of Digital Solutions at Santander Bank Polska.
