CloudFerro is a provider of cloud data processing services. It provides and supports cloud computing for specialized markets, including the European space industry, climate research and science.
It has extensive experience in storing and processing large data sets, including multi-petabyte Earth observation satellite data repositories. Due to our dynamic development, we are looking to join our team a:
Mid System Engineer
What will be your tasks?
- Maintaining and developing our storage infrastructure operating on hundreds of petabytes of data,
- automating and standardizing environments (Ansible, in-house tools, CI/CD),
- co-creating and expanding storage clusters,
- analyzing and resolving performance and operational issues,
- collaborating with teams using storage platforms,
- updating technical documentation.
What are we expecting from you?
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems,
- experience in programming or building automation tools (Python, Bash, or similar),
- experience with containerization (Docker or similar),
- basic understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP model, routing, DNS, VLAN, load balancing,
- strong analytical skills and willingness to tackle complex problems,
- motivation to learn storage technologies such as Ceph, NetApp,
- openness to working at large-scale (thousands of servers).
An additional advantage will be:
- knowledge of storage systems: Ceph, NetApp, DAOS, or other SDS solutions,
- experience with automation (Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD),
- familiarity with Prometheus/Grafana or other monitoring systems,
- experience with private/public clouds.
