Mid Ceph Engineer
What will be your tasks?
- Participating in the design and testing of new functionalities within the Storage department,
- co-creating and preparing new storage clusters,
- developing and maintaining tools that support the proper functioning of storage systems,
- ensuring continuity of infrastructure operations based on Ceph,
- responding to ongoing issues and incidents in the infrastructure,
- contributing to the standardization and automation of the environment,
- updating technical documentation.
What are we expecting from you?
- Professional experience working with Ceph (mid-level — independent work with RADOS/RGW/RBD/CEPHFS),
- experience with Ansible,
- experience in system monitoring using Prometheus/Alertmanager,
- experience with Docker or other containerization technologies,
- practical knowledge of Linux systems (administration, troubleshooting),
- knowledge of Python or C++,
- knowledge of Git,
- analytical problem-solving skills,
- very good command of English at B2/C1 level.
An additional advantage will be:
- knowledge of commercial storage solutions, especially: NetApp (Data ONTAP, SnapMirror, NFS/CIFS) and DAOS (principles of operation, architecture, basic administration),
- experience with OpenStack, ELK/Opensearch,
- experience with Proxmox, HAproxy, Nginx,
- contributions to Open Source projects, especially Ceph,
- experience with CI/CD and process automation.
