Storage TIERS
CloudFerro stands out in the realm of cloud storage solutions, offering a diverse range of storage tiers meticulously tailored to meet the varied needs of customers. These tiers are designed with several key factors in mind: cost efficiency, performance optimization, strategic location, minimal latency, and ease of accessibility. This flexibility allows users to select the storage option that best aligns with their specific requirements, ensuring a personalized and efficient data storage experience.
At the core of CloudFerro's offerings are two primary types of storage: HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express), which is a type of high-performance SSD (Solid State Drive). The SSD option is engineered for its high-speed performance, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring rapid data access. On the other hand, HDD storage is favored for its greater capacity and cost-effectiveness, presenting a viable option for bulk data storage needs.
CloudFerro's HDD storage is available in two distinct tiers. The first is a standard tier with a replication factor of 3, ensuring data resilience through multiple copies. The second is a more economical tier based on erasure coding, which also maintains the same level of data resilience. This dual-tier approach allows users to balance their needs between cost and data redundancy.
An important aspect to note is that while CloudFerro does not offer tape-based storage solutions for glacier storage in the public cloud domain, such options are available for large-scale private deployments. CloudFerro's storage solutions can be utilized as a backup storage option for external cloud data. In line with the 3-2-1 backup strategy, CloudFerro provides a reliable and secure environment for creating backup copies, ensuring that critical data is safeguarded against loss or corruption.
